Software Issues
|
Microsoft Windows is the world’s most popular operating system and comes in a number of flavours - 95, 95 OSR2, 98, 98SE, 2000, ME, XP Home, XP Pro and Media Center Edition - and the one thing they all have in common is that they can all have problems at some time or another. Ever heard of the BSOD (blue screen of death), general protection errors or fatal exception errors? If not, you probably will some day. In fairness to Microsoft, many of the problems with the Windows operating system arise because of the variety of software and hardware that can be present on a modern home PC. The more often that you install and remove software and hardware, the more likely you are to run into a problem with Windows. There are also a large number of configuration options in Windows, and adjusting some of these, even accidentally, can lead to problems. Troubleshooting Windows problems can be a time-consuming and frustrating activity, and is best left to the experts. As well as problems with the operating system, you can also experience problems with the application programs that run on your PC, such as word processing programs, internet browsing programs, music playing programs etc. Problems using application programs can be due to improper configuration of the application, program corruption, or lack of user knowledge. Resolving problems with application programs will require a different approach depending on the cause of the problem. PC Medic will be happy to assist you with any software issues you may be having, irrespective of whether they are Windows or application related, and will have you up and running again in the shortest possible time. |
